You’re Invited to Share Our Encounter with the King of Kings at St. Paul’s This Palm Sunday

April 10, 2014

Palm-Sunday Cover

This Palm Sunday promises to be an awe-filled encounter with the King of Kings at St. Paul’s!

We’ll begin by welcoming Jesus as our King, as people did on the first Palm Sunday, with our children waving palm branches.

steve_bell22All of us will receive palm crosses. We’ll also sing the traditional Palm Sunday hymns, such as “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna;” and at 10 a.m., our Choir will sing an anthem with Steve Bell (one of them will be a recording!),

In the second part of both Services, we’ll remember that the One in whose Presence we are is the King of love, whose throne was a cross, and whose crown was made of thorns, as we participate in a reading, with parts, of the Passion of Our Lord.

Everyone’s invited to share this deeply meaningful way to begin Holy Week! Please spread the word!

Embedded below is a video of one of the tradsitional Palm Sunday hymns we’ll be singing at both Services, “Ride on, Ride on in Majesty.”
