You’re invited to our “Christmas Pageant and Desserts” event, which takes place this Saturday, December 14, at 7 p.m.

As the above poster shows, it’s our great joy to have our Hand Chimes Group, the “Ding-a-Lings”, back to perform “Mary, Joseph, and the Baby” for one half of the Pageant. (Thank you, Annette Pingot and Group members!)

All our children can participate in this telling of the Christmas story. Annette handed out the following invitation at our December 8 Services:

CHILDREN OF ST. PAUL’S:

You are invited to participate in this year’s Christmas Pageant to be held on Saturday, December 14, at 7 p.m.  There are no lines to learn and costumes are provided.  We will rehearse at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 13, at the church.  Please come 15 to 20 minutes earlier to get your costumes.  If you are unable to come on Friday and would still like to be in the Pageant or would like more information, please contact Annette Pingot at 403-256-6967 or annette.pingot@shaw.ca.

The other half of the Pageant is open for others to share their talents of music, poetry readings, stories, or skits. So far, we have two piano recital pieces, two solos, several readings, and three anthems by our Choir, but we still have room for YOU, if you have something you’d like to share! Please let me know by leaving a phone message at 403-256-1428, or emailing me at pastorfergus@gmail.com by 9 a.m. Saturday.

After the Pageant, our evening is far from over! All of us are invited to share in a time of fellowship over Christmas desserts. (Thanks, Alyson Rozier, Iona Shaw, and Laura Anne, for blessing us with these treats!)

It promises to be a wonderful evening! Please spread the word!

The photo just below the poster in this posting is of our 2007 Pageant, “Three Wise Guys and a Baby.” The children’s faces have been blurred to protect their identities, and the eyes of John McIntyre and Kathleen Robinson are revealing the powers they picked up when they crossed the edge of the galaxy on the Starship Enterprise ;-).
