Three Reminders for This Sunday and Its Services

November 2, 2013

all-saints-day-2

I’ve put up this posting to help us remember three things for tomorrow:

1. Please remember that tomorrow is the day that the time change occurs. We all get an extra hour of sleep tonight as we “fall back” to Mountain Standard Time.

2. Please remember that tomorrow’s also the day we’re all invited to bring our completed pledge cards to place in the offering plate during the Offertory Hymn. These cards help us be intentional in sharing from thankful hearts the “treasure” God’ has blessed us with, as part of our discipleship. They also help us as a Parish as we look ahead to our financial commitments in 2014 and beyond.

3. Please remember that tomorrow at St. Paul’s is a special celebration for YOU! It’s the Feast of All Saints, and “all” includes each of us! As the image and quotation below (which are on the cover of tomorrow’s Order of Service, and are from tomorrow’s Epistle) indicate, we’ll be reflecting together in our Services on the “glorious inheritance” we share together as the saints at St. Paul’s!

At 10 a.m., we have the wonderful opportunity to rejoice with the families of David Hutchinson, David Sowale, and Joeross Tino, as they receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, as sharers of this inheritance.

I pray that with the eyes of your heart enlightened,
you may know what is the hope to which he has called you,
what are the riches of his glorious inheritance
among the saints.
(Ephesians 1:18)

Embedded below is the song “Soon and Very Soon,” which will be the closing hymn at tomorrow’s 8:30 Service.
