At Our Movie Night on October 4, the Whole Family is Invited to Watch “The Secret Garden”

September 18, 2013

Movie Night

On Friday, October 4. at 7:00 p.m., we’re showing “The Secret Garden” at St. Paul’s. This 1993 movie for the whole family is based on the beloved 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

The movie tells the story of a girl named Mary, who’s been recently orphaned; a boy named Dickon, the brother of the household maidservant; and a boy named Colin, who’s been told he must remain in bed out of the daylight at all times; and their life-transforming exploration of the house’s secret, magical garden.

As always, we’ll be showing the movie on a big screen in the Sanctuary. There’s no charge, and popcorn is included!

Embedded below is the official trailer for the movie.

OCTOBER 5 UPDATE:

There was an AWESOME turnout at yesterday’s Movie Night! Ranging in age from grandchildren to grandparents, approximately FORTY people came out – the most we’ve ever had! Enormous thanks to John McIntyre and the other members of the Christian Education Committee, plus everyone who helped with set-up, refreshments, and clean-up!
