At St. Paul’s We Want to “Run the Race” Like Terry Fox Did

September 7, 2013

I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective
when you perceive all the good we may do for Christ.
(Philemon 6)

At tomorrow’s Services, we’ll be reflecting together especially on the above words of St. Paul’s words to Philemon. It’s our heartfelt prayer that Paul’s prayer will be fulfilled in our lives, as well! As the annual Terry Fox Run is taking place next Sunday, on the 15th, we’ll spend part of tomorrow reminding ourselves of how Terry’s inspirational story shows us how this can indeed take place.

Everyone’s invited to come to be stirred and challenged to a life of deeper discipleship!

The image at the top of this posting is of the memorial at Thunder Bay, where Terry was forced to end his run. It’s on the cover of this Sunday’s Order of Service.

Embedded below is a song called “Courage Highway by Clarence Michon,” with accompanying video and pictures Clarence has put together about Terry Fox.
