Our Dear Sister, Margaret Anderson, Has Gone to be with the Lord

December 22, 2012

Margaret Anderson

Margaret Anderson passed into eternal life peacefully on December 19, after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret joined our Parish family in April 2011, and quickly found her way into our hearts. She exemplified the love that can fill our hearts for God and others when we live our lives according to her favourite saying: to “let go and let God.” We believe that Margaret has, in the deepest sense of the word, gone Home to be with her Lord for Christmas.

The Service celebrating Margaret’s life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, at McInnis and Holloway’s Fish Creek Chapel. I shall have the great privilege of officiating. I invite us all to attend, as we are able, and to join me in especially lifting up Adrienne, Alison, and all Margaret’s family in their grief.

Rest eternal grant to Margaret, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. Amen.

Embedded below is a celebration of the life-giving love of our God, the hymn “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” which will be our Opening Hymn at the December 28 Service.
