Adult Christian Ed in October: “Christianity and World Religions”

September 26, 2011

You are invited to come to a six week Adult Christian Education DVD Study on Christianity and World Religions, Wednesdays at St. Paul’s at 7:30 p.m., from October 12 through November 16.

Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling With Questions People Ask is a video-based small-group study from United Methodist pastor Adam Hamilton that explores four major world religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism – and compares the beliefs of each with those of Christianity. This six-week study deals openly and honestly with questions people ask about other religions. As part of the study, Hamilton interviews a religious leader from each tradition. He treats the world religions with great respect, recognizing the unique contributions of each. In examining these major world religions and the beliefs of their followers, Hamilton urges us as Christians to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world, love our neighbour, and find positive ways to share the gospel.

PLEASE NOTE:There is no need to sign up ahead of time. There is also no charge to take the Study. Participant’s Books, which provide expanded reading material for more in-depth exploration, are available for $10 each. If you would like a Participant’s Book, please let Fergus know (; 403-256-1428), to make sure that there are enough copies available for the start of the Study.

See for more information, including a video preview.

This Study is based on a sermon series preached by Hamilton in 2003. The first 5 minutes of the first sermon in this series are embedded below:
